Our Providers

We believe in QUALITY

All staff are residency or fellowship trained - No aides, no assistants and no generalists. We offer exclusively ONE-ON-ONE care with the SAME PROVIDER for all of your care.

Dr. Joey Bikkers, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Joey brings a desire to deliver to our community the high level of care people typically think of with big cities. As a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapists, a credential held by less than 1% of licensed physical therapists nationwide, he has pursued extensive training and education in order to deliver top-notch care. In addition to his clinical work, he is very active in the profession. He has authored or co-authored multiple papers that either have been or soon will publish in peer-reviewed journals; he contributes in a teaching capacity with entry-, residency- and fellowship-level education; and he has served several times as a clinical instructor for entry-level doctorate students.

Dr. Victoria Bikkers, PT, DPT, OCS

Pelvic physical therapist Smithfield VA

Victoria brings significant clinical experience and professional development to Smithfield Physical Therapy Specialists. As one of few board-certified specialists in orthopaedic physical therapy (OCS) in the region, and one of even fewer therapists trained in pelvic health management, she is an asset to the health of the Isle of Wight County community, bringing these specialized services locally. Outside of the clinic, she has been a contributor to the profession at large with efforts including the development of post-professional continuing educational content, assisting with entry-level special topic education, and serving as a mentor and clinical instructor for several entry-level doctorate students. Presently, Victoria serves as the executive director for Smithfield Moms Collective, a locally-operated non-profit group with a focus on maternal health literacy.
